Independent Creative Director · London
Hattie Brookes makes things.
About
Brand identities. Art direction. The occasional film.
Fourteen years across agencies and in-house. I led brand for a household-name coffee roaster, ran the design team at a fintech you've probably used, and now I work for myself with a small bench of collaborators I trust.
I take on three or four engagements a year. Half are full rebrands; half are art direction on launches, campaigns, or product moments that need to feel like more than they should. I do best when I'm in the room early. I'm allergic to "make this pop."

Things I've made recently.
Heron & Hare
Full rebrand
Independent London bakery, fourteen sites. Identity, packaging system, shop fit-out, the lot. Sales up 22 percent in the first quarter post-launch.
Strata Audio
Product launch direction
Art direction for the launch of a new flagship speaker. Film, stills, and the launch site. Cannes Lions shortlist, Design Week feature.
Wilder Bank
Brand refresh
Tone-of-voice rewrite, new wordmark, illustration system across app and marketing. The product team called it "the first refresh that didn't make customer support's job harder."
Bramble Press
Imprint identity
A new fiction imprint for an established publisher. Logo, cover-design system, season-one launch. Twelve titles, one unified shelf, no two books the same.
"Hattie is the rarest combination: a clear strategic head and a hand that knows what to do once the strategy is settled. We've worked with her three times now."
Anna Reid · CMO, Strata Audio
